"We'll Bring the World His Truth"

President Dunn with a few of the elders on transfer day. Notice the South African flag tie? A few of the missionaries are making these. They are woven with thread and beads. Very cool!

This bush is right outside the MTC. It's beautiful with the red berries and white flowers. It looks like Fall and Spring on one bush at the same time.

New missionaries being picked up from the MTC by our elders who have finished two years of service to the Lord. What a sweet sight.

Our four departing elders. Two returning to Idaho, one to Cape Town South Africa and on the right, going home to Germany.

Four going home and seven filling their space. We now have 33 countries represented in the South Africa Johannesburg Mission! In November there will be around 14 arriving in the mission field from the MTC.

This is the welcome breakfast. Quiche, breakfast cake, fruit and juice was served.

The four departing elders looking at the new assignment board designed by President Dunn. All missionaries are now photographed with the same green background. They all have uniform labels with their name, home town, mission service dates and a flag of their home country. Very impressive!

Sister Dunn teaching the arriving elders important health information.

Elder Allred talking about flats with the elders

Traditional volley ball game pitting the arriving elders with the departing elders. This time the arriving elders were victorious! First time in three transfer days!

The new elder up in the air only speaks French and will have to learn to speak English, but he is so happy to be here and is smiling all of the time and gets involved without hesitation. He is an excellent volley ball player and helped the new elders win!

I see these missionaries each day and this hymn in the Children's Songbook expresses what I see in each one of them.  They are the Lord's missionaries and are bringing the world His truth!

We'll Bring the World His Truth

1. We have been born, as Nephi of old,
To goodly parents who love the Lord.
We have been taught, and we understand,
That we must do as the Lord commands.
2. We have been saved for these latter days
To build the kingdom in righteous ways.
We hear the words our prophet declares:
"Let each who's worthy go forth and share."
3. We know his plan, and we will prepare,
Increase our knowledge through study and prayer.
Daily we'll learn until we are called
To take the gospel to all the world.
We are as the army of Helaman.
We have been taught in our youth.
And we will be the Lord's missionaries
To bring the world his truth.
