Happy Thanksgiving - Early

We held an early Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday. Elder Davies, one of the AP's will be going home to Australia the week of Thanksgiving. He told us that he had never had Thanksgiving dinner and would never have the opportunity before he left. We knew we needed to give him this experience so, with Transfer Day on Tuesday, we planned and executed the big dinner.
We invited our friends the Hansens and the Thompsons. Also Dennis, our friend and our landlord's caretaker. Dennis also has never had a Thanksgiving dinner!

My best helper!

Sister Hansen made jello salad, dressing, and mashed potatoes. Sister Thompson made sweet potatoes and brought rolls and cranberries. We cooked the turkey, pumpkin pie, apple pie, and stuffed celery. We wanted to get the meal as close to home as possible.

His first plate of food. He loved the food!

Finished round one! Sorry about the crazy table in the photo. My mistake. Also cut Elder Allred out of the photo :(

Round two!

finished round three!

Our Righteous AP's. Going to miss this team, but so grateful we will still have Elder Stephens around!

Homemade pumpkin pie. Had to cook the pumpkin and mash it as they have no canned pumpkin here.
