Pilanesberg Game Reserve Safari

We were blessed Saturday to take a p-day and go on our first safari! We and the Thompsons left early and drove over to Pilanesberg Game Reserve. It took us a little over 2 hours to arrive.
We couldn't have asked for a better day, weather and animal sighting was perfect.

The first animal we sighted was a rhino!!! It's very rare to see one of those! You don't see it in this photo as it was running very fast and I missed the shot :( But it's there, I promise)

The zebras were plentiful. You pronounce that Zeb-rah. It just sounds right to say that in South Africa.

Morning and night these water holes would be filled with animals

And my  day was complete when I saw my first giraffe in the wild!! That made me so happy. They were majestic and beautiful!!

This giraffe was posing for us

Mr Elephant eating a tree on the side of the road. All through the park broken trees were a witness that an elephant had passed by that way.

Funny little warthogs were everywhere

We came upon a herd of elephant, around 24
