Mission life - Seven Months!

The Brammers Departure dinner. Sister Brammer on the left and Elder and Sister Cloward.

We had a Braai of shish-kabobs, potatoes, fruit, and other yummy food. Always a good time at these get-togethers!

Crazy expensive cars dot the South African roads

We were given shell necklaces that were made by Elder Tekurio's family back home.

The other morning there were a bunch of large bees in our courtyard. Cute African bird that makes a clicking sound. Another amazing cloud formation.

We drove down to Klerksdorp to close Elder and Sister Dummer's flat. They have finished their 18 month mission.
We are really going to miss them!

Some of the beautiful scenery along the way. Cosmos grow wild along the highways. Such a sight! Also we came upon acres of large sunflowers.

The lovely cosmos. It's like someone threw seeds along the way and they spread like wildfire!

Once we leave the city we see fields and pastures full of cattle, sheep, and goats. Still looking to see giraffe that roam the area.

A departure dinner was held to celebrate the Dummers, and to wish them well as they leave for home in Sandy Utah.

Some photos of the group. The Dummers purchased the new mission messenger bag. They are the first to received them. The Church wants the missionaries to use messenger bags instead of backpacks. It will look more professional and won't having our missionaries looking like school boys.

Zone Conference

We really look forward to Zone Conference. Tuesday March 10 was Pretoria East, Pretoria North, and Centurion. I took a few random photos throughout the day.
Sister Dunn taught a session on time management and service

........................................

The next two photos are from the AP's session. They taught about the power of prayer.

...............................................................

President Dunn taught about the important role our grooming plays in missionary work. The way we dress affects how we act and how others view us.
.................................................................

Each missionary companionship received a copy of the March Liahona. They really look forward to reading the Liahona each month.

Because it's such a long day, we serve crackers and apples to hold everyone over till lunchtime

..........................................................

For the luncheon we served lasagne, salad, rolls and chocolate chip cookies

Wednesday March 11 - Bedfordview, Benoni, and The Vaal

We had great help from Elder Arthur who could carry two casseroles on his head. He said one time he balanced 20 stacked books on his head!

Today we served cottage pie, salad, rolls and chocolate chip cookies

The elders set up the tables and they get pretty creative with the design
