Deliveries, Parents, P-Day, 27 October Transfers

We made a delivery to Pimville. Elder Opolot is a new missionary from Uganda, and will be in a tri-panionship with Elder Taylor and Elder Manuma.

Some of the sites along the way from Pimville. We also drove to Daveyton to deliver bedding for Elder Lefthand, one of our new missionaries.

This is Gold Reef City. They have a theme park, the Apartheid Museum is located near here, and there is even a gold mine you can tour.

On our way back to the mission office, from Daveyton and Pimville. This is Johannesburg CBD.

At this exact location, we hit a traffic jam. There was an accident up ahead, and it took us 1 1/2 hours to drive 4K!

As you can see, the feeling is mutual :)

Some elders went paintballing on their last p-day on mission. Elder Sylvester is departing Tuesday.

P-day at the mission office. Most preparation days will find the missionaries playing sports or, like this day, they got creative and did the ice bucket challenge.

The Jacaranda outside our front door. Lovely!

Zone leader pick up day.
Every Thursday, the zone leaders come to the mission office to gather proselytizing materials, flats supplies, mail, and work out problems with cars/bikes, and whatever they need.
As you see, they enjoy meeting each Thursday!!

A jumping good time is had by all!

On Heritage Day in South Africa (24 September) everyone has a holiday. Schools and businesses close to celebrate their heritage. Families and friends gather and prepare special foods. It's kind of like Thanksgiving. It is also a custom to wear the clothing of your tribe. Each one has a distinct color and pattern. This is a member of our Cluster who wore her costume to church. Beautiful!
