Day Five - Last Day at the MTC
President Hinckley once said, "You have His power within you to sustain you. You have the right to ministering angels about you to protect you. Do not let Goliath frighten you. Stand your ground."
Family and friends... "STAND YOUR GROUND!" Don't let fear or doubt or sin take over your life. We have the power to overcome, change, and be better. Faith and trust in the Lord, and then action is the key. He can do ANYTHING and All things to help and strengthen us. Trust Him! Trust that the Holy Ghost will prompt in times of weakness, and will comfort and give you direction and peace in times of indecision and trials. Heavenly Father loves you.
Neglecting any of the basics of the gospel just takes us further away from the Spirit, so DAILY do the basics so the Spirit can be your constant companion.
Remember that we love all of you and that you are daily in our personal and companion prayers. Please stay in touch and come along with us on this marvelous adventure.
XOXO

Day Two MTC
Hermana Herrera and Hermana Shumway. Both going to Argentina. They were so happy and loving being missionaries! |
President and Sister Hacking, Hermana Herrera, Sister and Elder Allred |
We finally saw Hermana Herrera! She sang in the MTC choir for the devotional. It was an added blessing to have a group photo including President and Sister Hacking.
There is such excitement in the air all over the MTC campus. The elders and sisters hurry to open doors for us and always smile and say hello as they rush here and there to class, to partake of the yummy food at the cafeteria, and do other activities. The Lord has a powerful army of righteous young men and young women ready and willing to help in inviting others to come unto Christ.
We love being here!
Day One MTC
Arriving at the Provo MTC |
The Elders waiting to help the senior missionaries |
We have our badges! |
We went to morning orientation, had a yummy lunch in the famous cafeteria, met the MTC mission presidency, saw our good friend President Hacking, looked for missionaries from our ward - Elder Williams (going to London South), and Sister Herrera (Argentina) but didn't see them. :-(
More training, and the day was completed around 3:30 pm. We arrived back home, had dinner and studied for tomorrow. All in all a wonderful, spiritual day.
